Luke Keet Signs with Diagoras Rhodes

Only4stars is proud to announce the signing of the Indonesian winger, Luke Keets to Diagoras Rhodes, a Greek Super League 2 team.

This is the second transfer Only4stars has made between the Indonesian and Greek markets, as we brought Cyrus Margono to Panathinaikos last year. We see a tremendous opportunity to expand our footprint in both markets, as we work closely to bring the best talent into Europe.

Sport Journal had the exclusive opportunity to interview Luke:

Was it an easy decision for you to come and play football in Greece?

“Yes, my vision has always been clear, to play professional football in Europe. Im aware of how passionate and seriously football is taken in Greece, so when playing here was presented as an option, I was immediately intrigued”.

What convinced you in the discussions you had with the board of Diagoras Rhodes?

“The people first and foremost, the relationships I was very fortunate to quickly build during the preseason camp. It is an environment I feel I am given freedom to grow, in a team which carries itself with high demand and expectations. I feel it is a good opportunity to show what I can do, alongside the support of the right people around me”.

How did Diagoras found and approached you?
“With the help from Only4Stars agency for making this all possible”.

Can you describe your characteristics as a player?

“Fast, quick, creative. Above all, I’m eager to learn and adapt quick to change what is asked by the coach, in order to reach our objective as a team, and win”.

What are your football dreams?

“To continue playing the game I’ve adored since I was a kid. I am obsessed with what I do and have devoted everything I am to this game. Very passionate about seeing how far I can go, and in return, how much I can give to the people around me”.

Do you know the big teams in Greece and if so, have you ever imagined yourself playing for any of them?

“Yes I am aware of the rich history as well as the fiery passion which comes with certain clubs here in Greece. Ofcourse it would be a pleasure for me to be able to be a part of such big projects”.

Is your transfer to Rhodes the opportunity you were looking for in your career?

“Yes, Im confident it is a step in the right direction. A fitting environment for me to adapt not only my game, but heighten my experience as a person aswell. Looking forward to enjoying all the highs and learning as much as I can from the lows”.

Do you consider Greek football as an opportunity for development for young players from your country?

“100%, Greek football will definitely take young players where I’m from out of their comfort zone, teaching adaptability. Different culture, different language, different play style, intensity level. All these things give lots of opportunity for growth and development”.

Is the National Team of Indonesia a big personal dream?

“For sure. I am very proud of where I come from and the people I may represent. It would be an honour for me to play for my country”.
